Description of the hike
Starting from Abbadia lariana railway station, we will walk on an old mule track and reach a beautiful panoramic view point where we will admire the lake and the surrounding mountains. We will continue trough a cool and dense forest of beech and chestnuts trees, passing into Val Monastero. After an hour, we will reach the Cenghen waterfall, a 50meter-high, cascade descending between two big rock walls, forming several pools of crystal-clear water. We will resume our journey passing trough olive groves and small rural hamlets to return to Abbadia Lariana railway station.
