Description of the hike:

From Colico, one of the most panoramic stretches of the Sentiero del Viandante that offers breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains that surround it. We will start from Rebustello in Colico (possibility of parking for cars) to reach the fourteenth-century towers of Fontanedo: from there our route will continue to the village of Corenno Plinio, a small and charming medieval village. Corenno is an enchanted place and represents a real gem of Lake Como: walking through the narrow alleys and descending along the "stairs" that lead to the lake, it is impossible not to be fascinated by this small village that transpires history in every corner, a place almost unknown to most people and perhaps also for this reason so unique. The return from Corenno is provided by private transfer.

Description of the hike:

With cars we can reach the beautiful village of Olgiasca, a district of Colico, located on the homonymous promontory. Arriving in the small village, contemplate the wonderful view that extends to the center of the lake, caressed by our "Breva", a breeze that accompanies us for most of the year. On foot we will reach a jewel of Romanesque architecture, the Abbey of Piona, through a beautiful path called the "Gir del Doss" which, crossing the ridge of the promontory, will take us to the beautiful Abbey. It is a surprising walk: the chestnut woods alternate with open spaces with native plants and glimpses between the Piona lake and the Upper Lake; a beautiful walk, within the reach of young and old, at the end of which you will have time to visit the beautiful Cistercian Abbey, one of the jewels of Romanesque art in Lombardy. There will also be time for the spirits, sitting on the benches in front of the suggestive chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes, surrounded by the olive trees of the lake or contemplating the beautiful cloister and the church so beautiful in its simplicity. The return will be along the driveway of Olgiasca, where the wonderful view of the lake will accompany us on our right.
